MakeUp Palette- What is your color?

Choosing the right colors for your make-up collection can be very difficult and frustrating. Let’s face it, we are all different shades of different colors and we all have different hair colors and eye colors as well. Each one of us ladies (or gentlemen!) is very different in our needs when it comes to selecting the right kind of make-up colors.

Pale complexions

Paler complexions should stick to minimal foundation (since it’s hard to find a color pale enough) and should stick with berry colors and naturals (beige, peach, brown). If you have blue eyes, try going for purples and greys when it comes to eye shadow. This will help to bring out your eye color. If you have ruddy red tones in your complexion, don’t use reds or oranges, as this will make them stand out more, down play them with beiges and peaches. If you have red hair, this goes the same way, don’t use oranges or red tones, unless it’s for example, a deep red lipstick.

Tan

Tan skin tones have an advantage as most things will go with them. If you have this medium skin tone you can use vibrant colors or down play your look with naturals like cocoa, terra, any earthy tone. You really are in luck for medium skin tones.

Darker tones

Darker tones are again in luck because they have a much larger array of colors to choose from. You can basically use any color (though I don’t recommend bright orange). If you have brown eyes, you can choose beautiful blues or gold’s to bring out your eye color.
