It is the most popular plastic surgery among men. Prior to deciding on a procedure it is important to rule out other reasons for hair loss. Those include hormonal imbalance, undiagnosed disease or recent trauma to the area. To make the replacement the surgeon uses the hair around the head, behind the ears and on the neck, therefore, the ideal candidates for this procedure are people with thick hair in those places.
This procedure can be performed using the following methods:
Skin implants with hair - this is the most common and easiest technique. Small pieces of skin (diameter 4-4.5m"m) are taken from the neck, each containing 10-15 hair follicles and implanted into hole at desired location. Afterwards the area is bandaged for 24-48 hours. The new hair does not grow right away, it usually takes 3-4 month. The donor site usually recovers after 10 days. If the area needs to be covered is too large, the surgeon creates a front line hair that can be combed back worth to cover the boldness. The implants cannot be placed too close to each other, because each of them needs blood supply from the area around to create hair. Therefore, usually 2-4 treatments required, to complete the treatment. Each one lasts from 6 month to year. This procedure usually done using local anesthetics and it lasts for an hour.
Skin flaps - this method uses long bands of hairy skin taken from around the head to the bold areas. The flat is moved with its own blood supply. This method can create unnatural hairline requiring additional implant to cover the scars on the sides.
Scalp reduction using skin expanders - the surgeon can minimize the boldness by removing some of the scalp skin using tissue expanders. An expander is put under the skin and inflated gradually. The extra skin is removed and closed. This technique requires two operations and takes more time.
Every operation has its ricks. An infection can occur, the implant may not "take" and bleeding may occur.
After the surgery you should avoid vigorous activities at least a three weeks. You'll be able to go to work after several days. The implants may fall off after 6 weeks, this is normal. It'll take another 5-6 weeks for the hair to grow.

Fukui By train
Fukui is a major station on the JR Hokuriku line, which links Toyama with Maibara. A connection to the Kosei Line at Tsuruga provides a direct link to Kyoto and Osaka.
Fukui is connected to Kyoto and Osaka 1-2 times per hour by the Thunderbird and Raich? trains. Both of these trains make the run from Osaka to Fukui in about 1 hour, 50 minutes. From Kyoto, the run takes about 1 hour, 20 minutes. The price for both services is the same, at ¥5670 from Osaka and ¥4610 from Kyoto.

Eiheiji Temple (???). Established in 1244 by Zen Master Dogen, a testament to the ability of the Japanese to fuse architecture and nature in a seemless and timeless structure. Visitors are welcome to tour the monastery and for ¥8000 per night (¥3000 per night for stays of more than a few days) can experience training according to the Soto Zen tradition. The temple is located about 15 km outside Fukui; either take a direct bus from Fukui Station (4 daily, 30 min, ¥720) or a train to Eiheiji-Guchi (25min, ¥440yen) and then a connecting bus (15min, ¥410). -

- UroToday.com - In a report in the January 2008 issue of Qualitative Health Research, an Oxford University team of sociologists led by Alison Chapple analyzed British men's views and experiences regarding PSA screening.
- Though statins, ACE inhibitors, and beta blockers improve survival in patients with heart failure (HF) and low ejection fraction, no large study has investigated these agents in patients with HF and preserved left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). Therefore researchers evaluated a sample of 13,533 Medicare beneficiaries aged >/= 65 years, hospitalised with a primary discharge diagnosis of HF and chart documentation of preserved LVEF between April 1998 and March 1999 or between July 2000 and June 2001.
The following findings were reported, based on a Cox proportional hazard model, accounting for demographic profile, clinical characteristics, treatments, physician specialty, and hospital characteristics, and discharge:
• Statin therapy was associated with improvements in 1- and 3-year mortality (RR 0.69, 95% CI, 0.61 to 0.78 and 0.73, 0.68 to 0.79, respectively).
• ACE inhibitors were associated with better survival at 1 year (0.88, 0.82 to 0.95) and 3 years (0.93, 0.89 to 0.98).
• Beta-blocker therapy was associated with a non-significant trend at 1 year (0.93, 0.87 to 1.10) and statistically significant survival benefits at 3 years (0.92%, 0.87 to 0.97).
The researchers conclude “statins, ACE inhibitors, and beta-blockers are associated with better short- and long-term survival in patients aged >/= 65 years with HF and preserved LVEF."
