The Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) of the EMEA has issued a “Question and answer” document discussing the withdrawal of the application for a change to the marketing authorisation for zoledronic acid (Zometa) to include the prevention of fractures and bone loss in postmenopausal women with early-stage breast cancer who were being treated with aromatase inhibitors.
