There may be pain or uncomfortable felling after the recovery that can be treated with painkillers. A sensation of ants crawling usually disappears after weeks or a month after the surgery. Bandages are removed after a day or two and your face may look swollen. Red or pale with bleeding spots, you must remember that those will disappear after few days or weeks.
You can get out of bed after 24 hours but you should avoid any efforts for at least a week to help the healing process. You should avoid alcohol, hot tubs and saunas for at least a month. Most of the patients feel disappointed at first, their face look and feel strange but after a few weeks the scars will heal and you'll be able to see the final results. Many patients return to work after 3 weeks. Sometimes you may need to use make up to blur the hemorrhage spots.

Montgomery Eat Montgomery's diners tend to be very basic eaters. Lunch times are famous for what is called a "meat and three menu". That is where a restaurant, during the lunch hour, serves a meat course and three sides (vegetables or potatoes). Most restaurants serve "sweet" tea. That is tea that is more sweet that a two teaspoons of sugar. Ask for unsweet and sweeten it yourself.
Breakfast is served with biscuits (trust me, you will love them), never toast. They also serve grits with breakfast and it is considered appropriate to doctor them anyway that you like to eat them.
Bar-B-Que means that meat is slow cooked over a wood fire. Sauce is served on the side and I have seen the full range of sauces (mustard type, tomato based, Tex-Mex).
Montgomery is home for the Hyundai automobile plant. Look for several fine Korean and Pan Asian restaurants and interesting menu items.
Montgomery is in lower Alabama and you can expect, in some of the better restaurants, some Cajun influence.

- In the first comprehensive study of the genetic basis of psoriasis, researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis have discovered seven new sites of common DNA variation that increase the risk of the troublesome skin condition. They also found that variations in one genetic region link psoriasis and a related joint disorder, psoriatic arthritis, to four autoimmune diseases: type 1 diabetes, Grave's disease, celiac disease and rheumatoid arthritis.
- Objective To delineate the anatomic architecture of the melolabial fold with surrounding structures and to elucidate potential implications for face-lift techniques.
Methods A total of 100 facial halves (from 50 cadaveric heads) were studied, including gross and microscopic dissection and histologic findings. Laboratory findings were correlated with intraoperative findings in more than 150 deep-plane face-lift dissections (300 facial halves) performed during the study period.
Results In contrast to previous reports, the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) was not found to form an investing layer in the midface. The SMAS, zygomatici muscles, and levator labii superioris alaeque nasi were found to be located in corresponding anatomic layers and to form a functional unit. Additional findings of the present study include the description of 3 structurally different portions of the melolabial fold, of an anatomic space below the levator labii superioris alaeque nasi (sublevator space), and of extensions of the buccal fat pad into the sublevator space and the middle third of the melolabial fold.
