Every operation has its ricks. The implant may move from the original place. Then you need to undergo additional procedure to replace it. Infection is rare, it can be treated with antibiotics and in some cases the infected implant will be removed and replaced by another one.
After the surgery there is a strange felling around the chin. It is normal to fell difficulties in talking, smiling and eating. There may be blue marks around the chin and neck. It is advisable not to participate in activities which may harm the chin. The surgeon will guide you regarding dental hygiene and eating.
The final results may take weeks and even month to notice, therefore you must be patient.

Asahikawa By train
Asahikawa is the terminus of the JR Hakodate Main Line to Sapporo, Otaru and Hakodate. The Super White Arrow limited express travels to Sapporo in 1:20-1:35 and charges ¥4880, while ordinary trains cost ¥2,420 and take closer to three hours.
Many of JR's Hokkaido lines branch out from Asahikawa: the Soya Line connects to Wakkanai, while the Sekihoku Line connects to Abashiri and the Furano Line goes to skiing hotspot Furano.

- This Blog provides a quick and succinct commentary on a recent Cochrane review of the efficacy and safety of aripiprazole vs. conventional (typical) antipsychotics for schizophrenia.
The review had noted that aripiprazole and conventional antipsychotics had similar efficacy with regard to symptom improvement, but aripiprazole appeared to offer a favourable adverse-effect profile, with a lower risk of extra-pyramidal symptoms, hyperprolactinaemia, raised blood glucose and sinus tachycardia.
The blog notes the following:
• Most of the studies on which the review was based were short-term and data reporting was considered to be poor.
• Although aripiprazole is suggested to offer a possible advantage over conventional antipsychotics regarding compliance, the drop out rate of patients receiving aripiprazole in one long-term study reported was still very high at 57%.
• None of the studies in the review reported relapse, which is the outcome of most interest once an acute episode has been controlled.
The blog concludes “further longer-term data, especially those comparing aripiprazole with other atypical antipsychotics, are required before it can be recommended for routine use ahead of other more established less expensive atypical antipsychotics; however, aripiprazole may be an option to consider where they are ineffective or not tolerated.”. It adds that the NICE guideline on prescribing and monitoring of antipsychotics should continue to be followed and GPs should consider referring patients where adherence to treatment is poor, or they suffer unacceptable side effects.
- According to a report by PharmaLive, the European Commission (EC) has approved bevacizumab (Avastin) in combination with capecitabine or oxaliplatin for first line or subsequent use treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer.
Bevacizumab was already licensed in combination with intravenous 5-fluorouracil/folinic acid or intravenous 5 fluorouracil/folinic acid/irinotecan for first-line treatment of patients with metastatic carcinoma of the colon or rectum.
