Greece Buttock Implants - The Plastic Surgery Procedure
This surgical procedure also called gluteoplasty or buttock augmentation. It is designed to reshape the size of your buttocks and create more firm and aesthetic appearance. The buttock area is not easily changed by weight reduction or exercise, therefore you may consider this operation to improve the look of your buttock. In general, every person wishing to undergo the operation, and is in a good physical condition, can do so.

During the operation the surgeon inserts silicon implants into your gluteal area. Unlike breast implants, these are soft and solid, their shape and size vary, according to individual body form and desires.

Greece Buttock Implants - The Implants
There are few kinds of implants: round or oval (also called an anatomic implant). The most common implants are those made of silicon. It comes with a smooth or textured surface and they are solid (meaning: they rarely spill or rupture). The selection of an implant is usually made according to the surgeon's advice and your preference.

Greece Buttock Implants - Insertion Locations
The incision for the implant insertion can be made in several locations: two excisions, either on the superior buttocks or inferior buttock near the posterior thigh. Both incisions leave a quite visible scar. One excision is made in the sacrum area, it goes from top down, and is usually small (4-6cm). The only problem is that such incision tends to become infected more often; this can be treated with antibiotics. The implant can be placed above or below the gluteal muscles. Finally, a liposuction can be added to this procedure to further shape your buttocks.

This procedure is preformed under general anesthesia and usually lasts one hour, liposuction may require an additional half hour (consult local Greece surgeon).

Greece Buttock Implants - Risks
Every procedure has its risks: this one includes bleeding, infection, nerve and/or muscle damage and damage to the implants, such as silicon spillage and buttock asymmetry.

Greece Buttock Implants - After Surgery
After surgery you will feel pain and discomfort, and you will be prescribed with painkillers. You also have to wear a special bandage for 2-3 weeks to help your buttocks gain their new look. Occasionally you may feel either temperature changes or numbness in the area. This will resolve after a few months. It may take about 3 months for the swelling to resolve and the buttocks to regain their final appearance. You'll be able to go back to full activity after one month. Since the implants are placed far from the bony area you will have no trouble sitting. Finally, the implants will give your butt the look like you have been working out for years.

The rise of the Greek city-states occurred sometime around 1200 to 800 BC and heralded the Golden Age of Greece which lasted many centuries and spurred several scientific, architectural, political, economic, artistic, and literary achievements. Athens, Sparta, Corinth, and Thebes were the most prominent of the city-states (with Athens being the most prestigious), but there were several other advanced city-states and colonies that had developed across the Aegean basin. Greek settlements were also established in southern Italy and other coastal areas of the Mediterranean colonized by Greeks. The legacy of Greek Civilization from this time period made a major impact on the world and continues to influence us to this day.

  • The Health Protection Agency has released its latest figures on HIV in the UK, which show that there were an estimated 6,840 new HIV diagnoses reported in 2007. The press report emphasises the findings in gay men, as there is no evidence for any fall in transmission rates in this group. Please see the links above for further details.

  • Abstract  Surgical management of facial hemangiomas, the most common childhood neoplasms and infiltrating facial vascular malformations, has the risk of injury to the facial nerve and remains controversial. The aim of this study was to analyze the use of the commercially available Neurosign 100® Nerve Monitor in those cases of facial vascular anomalies where resection was considered the appropriate treatment. On a prospective basis, six consecutive patients with deep (so-called infiltrating) vascular anomalies of the face (two hemangiomas, three lymphatic malformation, one lymphatico-venous malformation) were enrolled in this study. During surgical preparation, electromyographic (EMG) activity of the muscles innervated by the facial nerve was monitored. The variables collected included the patient’s sex, age at surgery, location of the lesion and depth, prior treatment, diagnostic workup, site of skin incision, operating time, operative and postoperative complications, and reconstructive outcome. All lesions were resected without major bleeding. Postoperatively, all patients showed regular, symmetrical function of the facial nerve. The mean operating time was 136.7 min (range 90 to 240 min). During the preparation using surgical instruments, EMG activity was noted both as a graphic signal showing facial nerve activity and as an acoustic signal. In all patients, the branches of the facial nerve were identified clinically by electrode stimulation at 30 Hz. Postoperatively, all patients had improvement of facial asymmetry and deformity; preoperative pain episodes and functional impairments resolved completely. Intraoperative facial nerve monitoring provides feedback regarding the location, extent, and ongoing functional status of the facial nerve in the surgical management of infiltrating benign lesions such as hemangiomas and vascular malformations. Besides an overall distinct indication for surgery, we recommend its use for prevention of iatrogenic facial nerve injury.
