Ukraine Breast Reduction - The Procedure

Women with very large breasts may suffer from pack pain, skin infections under the breast folds and breathing difficulties. During the operation extra fat, skin and breast tissue are removed and the surgeon designs a smaller breasts according to woman's proportions.
There are two ways to perform breast reduction: one with longer scar or an "anchor" scar, which is the procedure of choice in a case of very large breasts. The surgeon cuts through the nipple down and behind the breast folds. Afterward the surgeon lifts the nipple upward and shapes the breast. The second one is with a smaller scar, which is suitable for a medium size breasts. The cut is made only through the nipple and through the fold. Sometime the extra skin is not fully removed which leaves some skin folds beneath the breasts. Those usually disappear after 3-5 month (in case they persist afterward you might need an additional surgery to remove them).

  • Ukraine History

Ukrainian history is long and proud, with the early dominance of Kievan (or Kyivan) Rus as arguably the most powerful state in 10th-century Europe. While this state did not last and Ukraine became part of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth form the 14th until the 18th century, even modern Ukraine owes it a debt of sorts. A subsequent Ukrainian state was able to - in the face of pressure from the ascendant Muscovy - remain autonomous for more than a century, however the Russian Empire absorbed much of Ukraine in the 18th century.

Despite a brief flash of independence at the end of the czarist regime, Ukraine was incorporated into the new USSR after the Russian Civil War in 1922 and subject to two disastrous famines (1932-33 and 1946) as well as brutal fighting during World War II. Throughout the period of Soviet control, Ukraine was subjected to various levels of Russification programs; in the 1930's and particularly intense period during the Brezhnev era of the 1970's and 1980's. The 1986 Chernobyl accident was a further catastrophe for the country but also widely considered as an event which galvanized the population in national sentiment signaling an increased opposition to previous direct Soviet central control over domestic affairs.

You can walk across the 200 meter long bridge from Sighetul Marmatiei, Romania. But once you get to Slatina, Ukraine, it may be difficult to engage onward travel unless you came in a car. Bicycling is also a possibility in summer.

Plastic Surgery News...

  • China's National Population and Family Planning Commission Minister Zhang Weiqing on Monday said the country would not change its one-child-per-family policy for at least 10 years, the Wall Street Journal reports (Chao, Wall Street Journal, 3/11).

  • Some nicotine replacement therapies (NRT) that were previously licensed in the UK for abrupt quitting from smoking have recently been granted a new licensed indication called 'cut down to stop' or 'cut down to quit' (CDTQ). This is aimed at smokers who are unwilling or unable to stop smoking in the short term by allowing them to gradually cut down their smoking over an extended period while supported by NRT so that they may eventually be able and willing to try to quit altogether. This systematic review examines the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of NRT for CDTQ. No RCTs specifically addressing CDTQ were identified. Seven randomised placebo-controlled trials satisfied the inclusion criteria; six of these were industry sponsored. The review concluded from a meta-analysis of the findings of these studies that “NRT is an effective intervention in achieving sustained smoking abstinence for smokers who declare unwillingness or inability to attempt an abrupt quit.” The authors note that the 12-month sustained abstinence success rate in this population (approximately 5.3% NRT vs approx 2.6% placebo) was considerably less than that documented for an abrupt quit NRT regime in smokers willing to attempt an abrupt quit with NRT (approx 16% NRT vs. 10% placebo). They add that as most of the evidence of effectiveness of CDTQ in this report came from trials that required considerable patient–investigator contact, a similar mode of delivery in a real-world setting would probably be needed for CDTQ with NRT to generate similar abstinence rates for this population. Furthermore, CDTQ was considered highly cost-effective compared with a no quit attempt.
