Breast Lift Procedure
A mastopexy or breast lift is a surgical procedure performed to reshape the breast and return it to a more youthful position. Drooping of the breast may occur after pregnancy as well as aging. Frequently a breast implant may be used in conjunction with a breast lift in order to achieve better results. Depending on the amount of breast lifting that needs to be accomplished, different techniques may be used that involve different incisions. Generally, the more lifting that is required, the larger the incision (and therefore the scar).

Kansas Get around The only way to travel in Kansas is to drive. It's part of the experience of being in the state to spend time on the road. Take the time to plan a route off of the main highways and see the country.
Kansas Understand Although native Americans have lived in Kansas for thousands of years and the first Europeans visited in the 1600s, most Kansas communities date from the early to mid 1880s. The real development of Kansas didn’t take place until the 1850s when proslavery settlers from Missouri and antislavery settlers from New England flooded into the area. This period of "Bleeding Kansas" included a great deal of violence and some people consider this area to have been the cradle of the Civil War. In communities like Lawrence, Kansas many organizations and businesses still proudly display the "free state" name.

- An article in the April 2008 issue of ‘Drug Safety Update’ discusses the risk of carbamazepine-associated Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS), which is estimated to occur in approximately one to six cases per 10 000 new users in the USA and Europe.
The occurrence of this side-effect has been found to be strongly associated with presence of the HLA-B*1502 allele in individuals of Han Chinese, Hong Kong Chinese, or Thai origin. Such individuals should therefore be screened for this allele prior to commencing treatment with carbamazepine and if positive should only initiate therapy if the benefits clearly outweigh the risks of SJS.
Data are not available to determine whether the same risk applies to other Asian populations, and whether the presence of this allele is associated with an increased SJS in users of other aromatic anticonvulsants (i.e. oxcarbazepine, phenytoin, or phenobarbitone).
