Breast Lift Procedure
A mastopexy or breast lift is a surgical procedure performed to reshape the breast and return it to a more youthful position. Drooping of the breast may occur after pregnancy as well as aging. - The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) of the National Institutes of Health today issued the first clinical guidelines in the United States for the diagnosis and management of von Willebrand Disease (VWD), the most common inherited bleeding disorder. The guidelines include recommendations on screening, diagnosis, disease management, and directions for future research. An extensive article on the guidelines is published online Feb. 29 in the journal Haemophilia.
- The word is out: women are at risk for heart disease, just like men. In fact, roughly twice as many women in this country will die of heart disease, stroke, and other cardiovascular diseases than from all forms of cancer combined, including breast cancer, according to the American Heart Association. Risk factors for heart disease and stroke have long been identified.
