PT Breast Augmentation - The Plastic Surgery Procedure
The plastic surgery operation is usually done when the breast reaches its final size after puberty (ages 17-18). Except for cases when there is congenital breast hypoplasia or breast asymmetry in which it can be done earlier (local regulations in PT may be applicable).
PT breast augmentation - the implants
There are three possible areas for the insertion of an implant for augmentation. The lower fold of the breast is the most common site. It allows full excess and lives a hidden scar. The second site is through the areola. This incision gives the best esthetic results but it is also the only one that goes through the breast tissue therefore the risk of infection and sensation loss is higher. The third one is through the armpits. Some plasit surgeons prefer it because the scar is almost invisible (except for those women who like to wear open close with no sleeves(. The disadvantage of this incision is a slight asymmetry of the breast. The decision usually made individually with each woman and the plastic surgeon (consult local PT surgeons).
The augmentation implant can be inserted above or below the chest muscles. The below position considered to be more preferable by most PT surgeons. There is less chance of feeling the implant, less chance of developing irregular folds or bumps on the surface of the breast and the implant is less likely to drop. This kind of plastic surgery technique is suitable for women with relatively little extra skin and less fallen breasts.
Most of the implants are made of silicon, and since the FDA determined that they safe for use they are being widely used by most plastic surgeons in PT.

PT breast augmentation - shape and size
The augmentation implants come in two shapes: round and pear shape also called "anatomic implants" because their shape resembles the natural contour of the breast. They are more expensive and require larger excision during the breast augmentation plastic surgery procedure.
The size of an implant usually depends on the woman size and proportions, the average size is 300cc. It is believed that smaller implants have lower complications.

PT breast augmentation - after the plastic surgery
After the augmentation plastic surgery you'll be wearing a sports bra or a bandage. You'll continue wearing them at all times day and night for about a month. You'll be able to take a shower 24 hours after the plastic surgery. The most optimal results usually seen 3 month after the surgery. Several things can complicate this plastic surgery procedure; those are rare complications, which you should be aware off. Bleeding around the area of the implant, infection, disturbances of sensation and touch around the nipples, silicon leak, rejection off an implant and some degree of irregularity on the surface of an implant.

Portugal Talk The official language of Portugal is Portuguese. Although it's somewhat related to Spanish, Italian, and other Romantic languages, it's not identical. Moreover, pronunciation of some Portuguese letters and words can be daunting. Spanish-speakers will be able to make themselves understood: if you choose to speak Spanish (or have no alternative), try to speak slowly and evenly. Your chances of being understood that way are quite high, but don't expect the locals to speak or understand Spanish.
English is spoken in many tourist areas, but is far from ubiquitous. However, the younger Portuguese will speak at least some English, or French.
The Portuguese people are of generally excellent humor when they are interested in talking with someone who can't speak their language. This means that all manner of shop owners, sales-folk, and people curious about you will take time to try to carve out any means of communication, often with funny and unexpected results. If the traveler attempts to speak Portuguese with locals, the action is taken with respect and oftentimes the local will apologize for how "difficult" it is to learn Portuguese, or how "hard" the language is. This good favor might encourage travelers to learn the very basics of Portuguese, such as daily greetings and the routine "please-thank you" exchanges.

- Objective To relate our initial experience using an acellular, soft tissue matrix derived from porcine small intestinal submucosa (Surgisis; Cook Biotech Inc, West Lafayette, Indiana) for lip augmentation.
Design A prospective, uncontrolled case series examining the results of lip augmentation using Surgisis in patients presenting to an academic otolaryngology/facial plastic surgery office.
Results Nineteen Surgisis implants were placed in 8 patients. All patients tolerated the procedure and denied unnatural sensations or complications at any interval. Adverse events included transient erythema and 1 case of local cellulitis treated effectively with oral antibiotics. Four patients were satisfied with the procedure and 4 patients requested greater augmentation. Six-month follow-up was reported, and preoperative and postoperative photography was used in all cases.
Conclusions Short-term lip augmentation was achieved in all 8 patients (4 patients had multiple strands placed). This study demonstrates technical ease and early safety. Surgisis should serve as scaffolding for ingrowth of striated muscle of the lip, potentially providing long-term augmentation. This study introduces Surgisis as a novel implant for lip augmentation. - Craniosynostosis, the premature fusion of the skull, is estimated to affect one out of every 2,000 babies. For the past several years, physicians have used two procedures to correct the problems. One procedure was to make an incision from ear to ear, strip back the scalp of the infant and reshape the skull by breaking the bones that had fused.
