Little Rock Breast Augmentation - The plastic surgery procedure

The operation is usually done when the breast reaches its final size after puberty (ages 17-18). Except for cases when there is congenital breast hypoplasia or breast asymmetry in which it can be done earlier.

Little Rock breast augmentation - The implants
There are three possible sites for the insertion of an implant. The lower fold of the breast is the most common site. It allows full excess and lives a hidden scar. The second site is through the areola. This incision gives the best esthetic results but it is also the only one that goes through the breast tissue therefore the risk of infection and sensation loss is higher. The third one is through the armpits. Some surgeons prefer it because the scar is almost invisible (except for those women who like to wear open close with no sleeves(. The disadvantage of this incision is a slight asymmetry of the breast. The decision usually made individually with each woman and the surgeon.

Little Rock breast augmentation - Insertion locations
The implant can be inserted above or below the chest muscles. The below position considered to be more preferable by most surgeons. There is less chance of feeling the implant, less chance of developing irregular folds or bumps on the surface of the breast and the implant is less likely to drop. This kind of technique is suitable for women with relatively little extra skin and less fallen breasts.

Most of the implants are made of silicon, and since the FDA determined that they safe for use they are being widely used by most Little Rock surgeons.

Little Rock breast augmentation - Shape and Size
The implants come in two shapes: round and pear shape also called "anatomic implants" because their shape resembles the natural contour of the breast. They are more expensive and require larger excision.

The size of an implant usually depends on the woman size and proportions, the average size is 300cc. It is believed that smaller implants have lower complications.

Little Rock - breast augmentation - After The Plastic Surgery
After the surgery you'll be wearing a sports bra or a bandage. You'll continue wearing them at all times day and night for about a month. You'll be able to take a shower 24 hours after the surgery. The most optimal results usually seen 3 month after the surgery. Several things can complicate this procedure; those are rare complications, which you should be aware off. Bleeding around the area of the implant, infection, disturbances of sensation and touch around the nipples, silicon leak, rejection off an implant and some degree of irregularity on the surface of an implant.

    River Rail Trolleys

In November of 2004, in time for the grand opening of the Clinton Library, Little Rock's River Rail Trolley system was completed. Children ride free; adult fare is 50 cents per ride, or $2 for a day pass. The trolley will take you to most of the major downtown attractions, as well as across the Arkansas River to downtown North Little Rock.

You can pick up a River Rail schedule from any of the hotels or downtown attractions. It passes by every 15 minutes or so. The trolley is a fun, easy way to get around downtown Little Rock.

  • Little Rock By car

If you'd like to see more than Downtown, a car is your best bet.

While taxis aren't as common a sight in Little Rock as they are in Dallas or Atlanta, they are available. You'll definitely be able to find one at the airport, and probably you'll see one pass through downtown if you're patient. A better plan would be to call in advance. You can call Capitol Cab at (501) 570-9999.

If you're renting a car: I-630 runs from east/west from downtown to the edge of west Little Rock; for most attractions you won't go too far north or too far south of 630.

The River Rail streetcar tracks on Markham, Second, and Third Streets near the River Market and Clinton Library in downtown Little Rock and Main and Maple Streets in North Little Rock present a hazard to street parking. It would probably be wise to walk or ride the trolleys to visit these streets.

The press release notes that according to the report there have been real improvements in the health of disadvantaged groups and areas. It reports that the gap in infant mortality is narrowing, and life expectancy in the most deprived areas has increased by two and a half years for men and one and a half years for women over the last 10 years. However, the gap between the life expectancy of women in the most deprived areas is still widening compared to the rest of the country. The report also states: • there has been long-term progress in reducing child poverty and narrowing inequalities in housing quality, educational attainment, child road accidents and teenage conceptions • cancer and circulatory heart disease gaps are narrowing • there has been a general decline in smoking prevalence but no narrowing of the gap.
