Bahamas BOTOX® Cosmetic - Procedure Length
The injection itself takes a few minutes. The surgeon uses a special syringe and injects a small amount of botox to the muscles involved. Men usually require larger amount due to larger muscles. The effect takes place after a day or two and reaches its maximal effect after 10 days. The pain involving the injection usually well tolerated by most of the patients and there is no need in local anesthetics. In selected cases a sedative drug or local anesthetics can be used.

The duration of the effect is usually 3 month for full effect and 8 month for partial effect. Longer action cases muscle fibers to degenerate therefore it is recommended to repeat the treatment after 3-4 month. How to Get in to the Bahamas?

Visitors from most industrialized countries (including US, Canada, EU and Japan) do not need an advance visa for stays of up to three months. Visitors do not need to complete the Customs form.

Travelers returning to the United States from the Caribbean must display their passport to get back into the States. This applies to minor children as well as adults. US immigration pre-clearance facilities are available at Nassau and Freeport.

By plane
The largest airports in the Bahamas are at the capital Nassau, on New Providence, and Freeport, on Grand Bahama.

By boat
The Bahamas are a popular port of call for cruise ships plying the Caribbean. The capital, Nassau, on New Providence Island is one of the world's busiest cruise ship ports, and is well served by ships that originate from Florida. Freeport on Grand Bahama Island is a growing destination as well.

Most island groups have customs and immigration available for those arriving by yacht. The customs fee for a private yacht is $150 for 35' and under and $300 for over 35'.

 



Bahamas BOTOX® Cosmetic - Risks
The treatment proved to be relatively safe. Precautions include: know allergy to botox or albumin, muscle weakness, use of aminoglicozide antibiotics, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Common side effects include: bleeding around the injection sites, headache, flu like symptoms and local pain. Another unwanted effect is paralysis of adjacent muscles which may cause eyelid drop (usually partial), double vision and difficulty swallowing. Because only part of those muscles was paralyzed there is usually a full compensation of the remaining muscle after 2-4 weeks.
