Parking at most attractions is convenient, though on-street parking in downtown areas is sometimes at a premium. If you are driving to downtown on the weekend, parking is free in the garage at the World Exchange Plaza. There are entrances to the garage on both Metcalfe Street and Laurier Street. A map is useful if you are going to be driving around downtown as many of the streets are one-way and more than one visitor has complained about navigating the downtown core.

- According to a report in the Telegraph, a consultant gastroenterologist speaking at an inquiry into the death of a 64-year old man at Perth Sheriff Court in Scotland has highlighted a potential association with the use of glucosamine.
The male involved had started taking glucosamine a couple of months before he died from liver failure. The expert said that "we have an association between glucosamine and this event and that is clearly very worrying. I cannot prove it is causal because there have not been enough cases to explore it more widely."
The consultant also spoke of two other cases where patients have become ill after taking glucosamine; he said “we were becoming suspicious of glucosamine causing a reaction and causing liver failure." He said that patients who fall ill after taking glucosamine should stop taking it immediately, and called for supplements and herbal remedies to be regulated in the same way as prescription medicines.
A spokeswoman for the Arthritis Research Campaign said: "It's a very, very commonly used food supplement and there have been lots of studies into its effectiveness for things like knee arthritis. All the discussions until now have been about whether it works and not if it is safe."
