When you loose weight quickly your skin cannot return to the new size as quickly resulting in extra skin is areas such as the abdomen, upper arms, thighs and breasts. Sometimes your skin is not elastic enough due to aging process, which can lead to permanent skin flaps. It can also be done to repair the effects of childbearing and aging. The extra skin can cause hygiene problems, avoiding cloth with short sleeves and low self-esteem. Body contouring is a series of operation, which can be divided into two groups, lower body lift and upper body lift. The lower body lift deals with your abdomen thighs and buttocks. Upper body lift is complementary to the lower body lift and it deals with breast and upper arms. The ideal candidates for the surgery are people in good general health who are unsatisfied with their body appearance.
New Orleans Body Contouring - OperationDuring the surgery usually the abdomen is treated first, because it is the area with the most excess of skin and fat. A horizontal incision is made above the pubic area, through which the extra fat is removed and the muscles are tightened. In some cases liposuction is performed to remove extra fat. Thighs and butt are treated by the same principle. The operation lasts from 4-7 hours and performed under general anesthesia. Sometimes additional procedures are done during the same operation; those include breast lift, arm lift or inner thigh lift. Arm lift is done by placing an incision from the armpit to the elbow and by removing extra fat and skin. The excess fat from the inner thigh is removed by liposuction, the incision usually made between the groin and the upper thigh.

New Orleans New Orleans and the Acadians Despite what many visitors expect, the population, food, music, and traditions of New Orleans are not predominately Cajun. The Acadian or Cajun (from 'Cadien, pronounced ca-jen) people developed their rich culture in rural parts of Louisiana, south and west of the city. These peoples were descended in a massive diaspora from areas such as Nova Scotia (previously called Acadia) when control of Canada was passed to the British. There are some good places for Cajun food and music in the city-- mainly these are branches of famous Southwest Louisiana Cajun places that opened up locations here. Many cajuns still live in rural Louisiana although some say the culture is slowly dying. As late as WWII cajuns were used as French translators for the U.S. Army.
The main culinary tradition in New Orleans is Creole - which means the culture and its cuisine already flourishing when Louisiana was purchased by the United States in 1803. The creoles were the peoples originally in New Orleans from its founding, differing from the outback styled cajuns. Creole has a mixture of influences, including French, German and Spanish with a strong West-African foundation. Creoles cook with roux and the "trinity," a popular term for green pepper, onion and celery. These are the base for many savory dishes.
New Orleans Get around WARNING: Some places that were affected hardest by Hurricane Katrina are still unsafe for automobile traffic. If possible, avoid driving through these places or consider alternative means of transport if available. Major reconstruction of several main arterials is expected to take about 5 years to the max.
