Radiothermoplasty is an innovative non-surgical cosmetic procedure in plastic surgery. This face procedure is performed for achieving younger-looking, tighter facial tissues. The technology known as thermage could be done as a facelift or for correction of deformities in other parts of the body. This non-invasive procedure is performed through radio frequency energy. This energy, when sent into the skin, mildly heats the deep layers of the skin. The heating action would result in the tightening of the deep structures of the skin. Over a period, the growth of new collagen would further tighten the skin and a youthful appearance could be achieved.

Here is some General Information about New Mexico:

New Mexico By air

The state's only major airport is in Albuquerque, in nearly the exact center of the state. Santa Fe has limited service connecting to Denver. Several of the state's minor cities such as Carlsbad, Farmington, Roswell, Hobbs, and intermittently Gallup and Taos have commuter air service.

For travel to the southern part of the state, particularly the southwestern region, consider flying into El Paso in extreme west Texas. For example, Las Cruces, the state's second largest city, is only 45 miles from El Paso compared to 226 miles from Albuquerque.

Application Areas of Radiothermoplasty in New Mexico (NM)

Radiothermoplasty was mainly developed for the treatment of skin around the eyes, necks, and jaw lines. However, the thermage technology is now used to tighten the sagging or loose skin on the upper arms. The appearance of the abdomen could be dramatically improved through this new cosmetic procedure. Women develop stretch marks after delivery. These stretch marks could be effectively removed through radiothermoplasty. Persons between the age of 30 and 60 could undergo this plastic surgery. Radiothermoplasty is suitable for all types of skins and skin colors.

Side Effects of Radiothermoplasty in New Mexico (NM)

Radiothermoplasty normally does not have any side effects, as this is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure. In rare cases, the skin might become blistered, irritated, or redden but these would usually dissipate within a few days. The FDA of the United States approved radiothermoplasty in 2002 for facial rejuvenation and it extended the approval for treatment of other body parts in 2006. As such, the radiothermoplasty could be considered as a safe plastic surgery procedure for facelift and other applications. However, patients having cardiac device implants or those using non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen should avoid radiothermoplasty.

New Mexico radiothermoplasty - News update:
A BMJ 'Head to Head' pair of articles considers arguments for and against the metabolic syndrome as a useful entity. This is a long-running saga, raised in a joint paper from the European Association for the Study of Diabetes and the American Diabetes Association three years ago and rumbling on since. The arguments against the term as a diagnosis suggest that it is difficult to produce a consistent definition, what features to include, and what thresholds should be set. The author notes that the latest definition of the term is based around waist circumference, however he notes that the relation between this and fat distribution varies according to ethnicity. Attempts to get round this include use of cardiovascular risk to calibrate populations, however this is also an outcome of the measure thus introducing a circular definition. The author considers that diagnosis of the syndrome has no clinical value, as it is redundant in those who already have diabetes and adds nothing to the management of those who do not. He concludes that it is a "diagnostic artefact with little prognostic or therapeutic value." The authors arguing in favour of the syndrome assert that it provides a simple public health strategy to define those at higher risk. They comment that it is not intended to give an absolute risk of cardiovascular disease or diabetes, but to highlight those at increased risk, doctors can then focus on this group. They conclude that it does have clinical value as a simple screening tool for use in the real world. More...
