Understanding the concept of Laser Liposuction

Description

The use of lasers to conduct liposuction on a patient is known as laser liposuction or also as smart liposuction. It is the best of the both worlds, since you are going to burning away the fat and have the precision of the laser to guide you through the process. In short, it is the next generation of liposuction.

Before the procedure

You need to understand that there are risks involved with any kind of liposuction. Traditional liposuction is about manually pumping out fat from your body whereas using the laser liposuction, fat is removed although it is done using the heat and intensity of the laser beam. Hence, be sure you are informed about the procedure before you actually go in for it.

The reality

This body procedure is supposed to be swift and painless. A laser probe will be placed into the designated area for fat removal. The laser directly attacks the fat cells while leaving the surrounding area clean and undamaged. Ideally, it shouldn’t take more than an hour for each target zone.

After the procedure

You need to take care and keep up with regular doctor appointments once your surgery is completed. It is not possible to completely benefit from the skin procedure if you don’t take adequate care post the plastic surgery. Sometimes, you might have swelling, which is normal with any procedure that involves redesigning or sculpting the body.

Miscellaneous

Since this is considered a cosmetic procedure, you might have to be clear with the doctor regarding how you are going to want it to be done. Any miscommunication and you might end up with something that you might be unhappy with. Also, laser liposuction is concentrated on cellulite treatment, so be prepared to see some side effects as well. It is not cheap and will set you back by at least $3000, which moves north with more areas.
