Bellybutton Revision, or Umbilicoplasty is performed with local anesthesia or conscious sedation by request of the patient. The procedure takes the average of 30 to 90 minutes. In the first 24 to 48 hours after your procedure you will notice very little swelling, bruising or discomfort. Most people return to work and normal activities either the same day or the day after the procedure. The healing process starts immediately.
